The Animation for Benno Besson Theatre

Graphic, Video with Animation Proposal

As part of a strategic communication proposal for the Benno Besson Theatre (TBB) in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland, our team developed a new visual approach that aligned with the theatre’s identity and cultural significance. Extensive research and site visits revealed the strong physical presence and historical value of the theatre, leading us to focus on its Neo-Baroque architectural style as a key visual reference.

A central challenge was to reinterpret traditional decorative elements in a contemporary way, ensuring that the theatre’s rich aesthetic heritage remained relevant while reinforcing its role as an inclusive space for all generations. To achieve this, we explored bold colour palettes, typography, and experimental layouts, presenting various design directions that bridged tradition and modernity.

This short reel was created as part of our proposal draft, demonstrating our approach to revitalising the theatre’s visual identity. My primary role in the project involved graphic development and animation, contributing to the dynamic visual storytelling of the concept.
